This law has been in effect since 1999. It requires that at least one person per facility has this certification.
This is an 8 hour class, followed by a 90 question test. Certification is good for 5 years.
If you have this certification you do not need a Food Handler Card.

This is a new law, SB602. There are amendments pending, SB303.
This law requires that anyone who serves, preps or stores food must have a Food Handler Card. Some facilities are exempt.
This class is approximately 2 1/2 hours, followed by a 40 question exam. Certification is good for 3 years.
